I Became the Secretary of a Hero! Chapter 1: The Beginning of an Adventure

Chapter 1: The Beginning of an Adventure

Aki Konishi extended in her seat as she looked at the clock
holding tight to the workplace wall, her beige suit pulling tight against her body. The sun had already set long ago, so it was past nine.

Aki put the finished files on the side of her desk and said, "Good work today, Katou," to her coworker who was working overtime next to her. We had a truly bustling case once more."

Tsunehiku Katou looked up from his administrative work. " You buckled down on
the case as well. Miss Konishi, you always move quickly. I actually have far to go before I can return home."

"Not the least bit. The fact that I had to work overtime demonstrates my lack of productivity. Work has a peculiar approach to expanding the more you make it happen."

"I can't help but concur… " Tsunehiku moaned. Aki reached into her bag and pulled out a number of candy bars. She kept them promptly in her tote to suppress her yearning during additional time hours.

"Could you like some, Katou?"

"Certainly, much obliged. You appear to have heaps of desserts on you constantly. Do you like desserts that much?"

"Not precisely. They appeal to my younger sister more than I do. She
continuously drives me to take a lot of desserts to work under the misrepresentation that it
would be awful if I get eager during work hours and can't focus."

“Heh. She seems like a sweet more youthful sister who pays special attention to you. On the off chance that
that is the situation, I'll be glad to take some. Much appreciated.

Please comply. Okay, I'm going home at this point. See you tomorrow." Aki
bowed to Tsunehiku who waved back to her. She rapidly left the workplace,
appreciative that the average working day was finally finished.

I'm going to leave the office late once more; I hope Nako isn't too worried. Aki raced home while constantly checking her watch.

She lived in a condo near her office with her younger sister and worked as a newly hired paralegal at a city law firm. It was her most memorable year
in the labor force and her sister was in her most memorable year of college. Their
guardians were positioned abroad for work, so they didn't live respectively
any longer, however, everybody was embracing a positive outlook.

In no time, Aki showed up at her townhouse and opened the entryway with
recognizable straightforwardness. She put her handbag on the side of the entrance and ventured
into the lobby.

"I'm home, Nako! Sorry, I'm so late," she called out as she as a rule
did, yet entirely nobody replied. Her younger sister typically responded with a brief "Welcome home" message.

Something had an oddly off outlook on the shockingly quiet townhouse. The
lights were switched off in the foyer, however a weak light spilled in from the
family room a few doors down. Her sister ought to be home since the lights were on.

After taking a deep breath to regain her composure, Aki checked on Nako as she went down the hall. She looked through the aired-out living room entryway.

"Nako, are you here?"

"oh, Aki, welcome home!" Nako pivoted where she held on the window on the opposite side of the room, her somewhat wavy chestnut hair rippling with the development. Aki breathed out with help after seeing her.

It's a good thing. Nako returned home safe…

She strolled toward her sister and suddenly halted. A tall new man stood right close to Nako.

The man's face was bewitchingly attractive. He had long dull green hair and ruby eyes like the shade of streaming blood. It was obvious that his eyes and hair were not of this world. Stressing her eyes, she
saw his ears were long and pointed like a fantasy animal of some kind.

The man wrapped one arm around Nako's shoulder as he stood right next to her at the window. Initially, he was by all accounts attempting to strongly remove her opposing younger sibling.

Wh-Who is this person?! It seems as though he's going to capture Nako!

Aki felt tension all over her body. I must rescue her!

She firmly clenched her fist in front of her chest and yelled, "Who are you?!?" at the man. Release Nako!

"My exact words. Who are you?" Unafraid, he raised his chin and fixed his icy gaze on Aki below. She withdrew from the penetratingly chilly, profound lumber of his voice.

Whoever wants to know who you are is me! I asked first! She gritted her teeth and scowled at the man. He duplicated her idiosyncrasy once more and glared back at her. Nako turned upward with worry at the man next to her in the midst of the hazardous circumstance.

"Don't be alarmed, Dark Lord! My older sister is Aki!

“…Sister?”

"… Dark Lord?"

The voices of the man called Dark Lord and the insane Aki covered.

Did Nako simply call this man the Dark Lord? … Dark Lord?

"Nako, what's going on with this Dark Lord rubbish? Who is this man?"

"Dark Lord alludes to me, Nako's More established Sister."

“Huh?” He caught Aki's attention with a gaping mouth.

He's not serious, right? She couldn't say whether she ought to make a joke about his name or not. Confounded, she directed her full concentration toward Nako, focusing on the man somewhere off to the side.

"Hey, Nako, I keep asking questions here; are you friends? Assuming that he's your companion, might you at any point send him home for this evening? It's as of now late."

Regardless of whether they were companions, it was neglectful of her to have a part of the other gender at a place of just young ladies this late evening time. Her indirect attempt to send him home caught the Dark Lord's attention in disbelief.

"Sister, Nako and I aren't companions. We're locked in."

"… Excuse me?" Aki's mouth fell open.

E-Engaged?

Befuddled, Aki posed a totally trivial inquiry, "… Um, you're locked in? How does that appear to be legit? My sister is as yet an understudy… "

As though to push the last blow into Aki's bewilderment, Nako inclined forward and cheerfully announced, "It's reality, Aki! It appears as though I was picked as Dark Lord's life partner!"

"What are you talking about, Nako?"

Were they now at the point in their lives where they wouldn't be capable of seeing each other regardless of whether they talked it over? Dark Lord breathed out a short moan after the young ladies hushed up.

“…Hm. We will not go anyplace regardless of whether we were to have this warmed discussion. As he picked up Nako's delicate body, the Dark Lord whispered to her, "Let's get going, Nako." He didn't actually look at Aki as he turned his back on her and jumped onto the gallery outside the open window.

Aki overreacted and ventured toward the Dark Lord seizing her little sister.

"W-Wait just a minute! You should give up Nako, I told you! We are still talking! She yelled. Dark Lord locked his red, cut eyes on her.

"Sister of Nako, you ought to follow me assuming you need your sister back. You will probably be picked by that individual as well."

"What are you — " Before Aki could complete her inquiry, Dark Lord mumbled a few words and lifted his hand toward the night sky. The space his finger contacted split open right away as though an undetectable edge sliced through it.

A coal-black opening extended from the split.

What is that?

As Aki's consideration was caught by the foreboding dark opening, Dark Lord unhesitatingly jumped very high with Nako in his arms.

"Wai — That’s dangerous!" With her eyes totally open, Aki wildly pursued onto the gallery. She put two hands on the railing and investigated the edge to observe something mind-blowing unfurling right before her eyes. Dark Lord and Nako were drifting in the night's dimness like they were suspended in the air.

No way! They're flying? Is this an otherworldly capacity? Magic?

Nako scowled tragically as she peered down at Aki abandoned in the gallery. She contacted her hand out to Aki and held her clenched hand as though to stop herself from getting hold.

"… I’m sorry, Aki. I'm leaving now."

"Stand by, Nako! If it's not too much trouble, clarify what is going on for me!"

I don't get what's moving on here!

She reached out with one hand, half in shock, but her fingers only trembled in the cool night air and had no way of getting to Nako. As if to shake off her interest, her sister and the criminal blurred into the jetblack opening. In the meantime, the airborne hole quickly closed behind them. If the opening totally shut, Aki may very well at no point ever see her sister in the future.

She had no opportunity to falter.

With determination, Aki took a deep breath. You advised me to follow you, so I must choose the option to pursue you any place you go!"

Without knowing what was going on, she couldn't let her precious little sister go with that man.

I have to save Nako!

She generally slipped on the shoes lying close by, focused in, what's more, put one foot on the overhang railing.

"Just you pause, Dull Ruler! Nako, I'm coming for you!"

Aki started off the railing energetically and took off into the night sky. The subsequent she contacted her fingers out to the evil opening, an imperceptible power sucked her toward it.
